The pace of change in workplace relations and employment / HR law is ramping up, with several changes set to take effect. Amendments to the Employment Relations Act 2000 are underway, including: benefits and conditions for employees and contractors; limits to the 90 Day Trials; Remedies for unfair or unjustified dismissals; Protections for more vulnerable workers; and the strengthening collective bargaining and union rights in the workplace.
 
Other issues are increasing in prominence and complexity to manage, including bullying and harassment, sexual harassment, and other forms of inappropriate workplace conduct. Adopting and integrating strong policies and practices around health and wellbeing - both physical and psychological – is also becoming an increasingly important mandate for employers to ensure a healthy, and engaged workforce.
